About Vestibular Rehab for Kids
What is Pediatric Vestibular Rehabilitation?
Vestibular rehabilitation is an exercise based therapy that focuses on reducing symptoms of dizziness, vertigo, and imbalance. Pediatric vestibular rehabilitation involves assessment and treatment with a specially trained physiotherapist, for children 12 years of age and younger.
How can vestibular therapy help my child?
Vestibular physiotherapy helps to improve balance, mobility, and coordination. Treatment is focused on decreasing symptoms of dizziness and vertigo, and improving tolerance for movement. Vestibular therapy is active, guided by comprehensive assessment of inner ear and neurological function, and tailored to your child’s development and interests.
